Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to analyze the psychometric properties of the Spanish version of the Personal and Social Responsibility Questionnaire-PSRQ, that assess the pupils’ perception of the personal and social responsibility in physical education. The sample was selected by convenience and consisted on 395 pupils, ages 9 to 15 years, from 10 primary and secondary educational centres of the Valencian Community. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis supported the byfactorial structure of the PSRQ, and its internal consistency was satisfactory. Correlations among personal and social responsibility and intrinsic motivation were positive and statistically significant. Support for the criterial validity of the PSRQ was also obtained.
