Efficiency of the application of the academic policies for the elite athletes in Spain

Abstract

The academic career and planning are key points for a successful employment in elite athletes. The main goal of this study was to analyze the application of a Spanish legal rule related with the Sport Elite academic benefits. The information system studied was composed by the stakeholders. The information procedure showed some lacks. Changing the dates of exams due to an official competition was the main topic for the athletes and it was confirmed by the application to all entities. The range from 20 to 30 years old it is supposed to be critical in academic terms. It should be necessary to create a global service for these elite athletes in order to have a permanent assessment.
