In this article, the influence of sport practice on self-determination and life satisfaction is analysed in a sample of 74 people with intellectual disability, 42 practiced sport with regularity and 32 participants did not practice sport. The Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) and the ARC Self Determination Scale were used, applying a structured interview format. Each person was interviewed individually and in the presence of a significant person.
